Corvette Books: Coffee Table

18 Jul , 2015

So the Corvette enthusiast on your list has everything. They’ve got t-shirts, sweatshirts, a hat for every day of the week, and any other accessory anyone can think of. What do they not have? We’ve got an idea. They probably don’t have a coffee table book about Corvettes!

The Corvette is a fascinating automobile with a great story. First unveiled in 1953, it has wowed Americans since it first rolled off the assembly line. The first cars were owned by celebrities like John Wayne, and they helped build the Corvette following. For the Corvette lover, nothing is better on a rainy day than sitting back with a cup of coffee and a book about Corvettes.

Two of our favorite Corvette coffee table books are Corvette Stingray – The Seventh Generation of America’s Sports Car and Legendary Corvettes.

b-719_corvettestingray_coffeetablebookIn Corvette Stingray, Larry Edsall gives a fantastic background on the Corvette before diving into the specifics of the C7 Corvette. Introduced for the 2014 model year, the C7 is a masterpiece and is definitely worth of wearing the “Stingray” badge. Edsall’s book is the perfect complement to the new C7 Corvette in someone’s garage.

b-677_85_legendarycorvettesWritten by Randy Leffingwell, Legendary Corvettes highlights some of history’s greatest Corvettes. Although no Corvette is boring, some stand out more than others. Leffingwell features the earliest surviving ’53, the Earnhardt team C5, stars from TV’s Route 66, and Zora Arkus-Duntov’s Grand Sport racers. The loved one on your list will enjoy this book for years to come.
